The wall hook by side by side can be folded easily if not used; it disappears in the slim body made of oiled wood and doesn’t take any space. If open, the aluminium hook offers room for up to six hangers for airing your clothes or for just hanging them aside.

The hook was created by the industrial designer and project director of side by side, Sabine Meyer. The Steinhöriger Werkstätten for disabled people are responsible for the production. In these workshops, up to 350 disabled people have a handicapped accessible workplace so that they get a chance to establish social contacts as well as to develop self-esteem and self-confidence. Like that common experiences are conveyed and the people’s own performance is made tangible due to the appropriate remuneration.

The wall hook is available in three different kinds of wood: maple, cherry and pear. It measures 24 cm in height, 2.5 cm in width and, if opened, 24 cm in length.

The design brand side by side was founded in 2001 by Sabine Meyer and the Caritas Wendelstein Factories and free designers. Since then Sabine Meyer is responsable as project leader for the unusual brand side by side. Designer Sabine Meyer
