“Déjà-vu” is the name of a furniture series that the Japanese exceptional designer Naoto Fukasawa designed for Magis. And as its name reveals, the shape of the stool is obviously oriented at the classic form that is characteristic for this furniture shaping.
Thereby Fukasawa still achieved achieved to offer a modern expression to the classic stool with the material he chose and clear accents. Not defying the time spirit or completely yielding.
The legs of the 2005 firstly produced Déjà-vu Stool are made out of profile aluminium, the seat aut of aluminium-die casting. This makes it fire-resistant and adapted to outdoor areas. Moreover the stool is demountable if necessary. The inserted aluminium was kept natural and hasn’t been chemically treated.
WE offer the Déjà-vu in a noble black variant. On demand the seat and legs are also available in a white and polished edition.
Naoto Fukasawa was born in 1956 in Yamanashi-Prefecture, Japan. He graduated from Tama Art University's Product Design Department in art and 3D design in 1980. Designer Naoto Fukasawa
