Easy to recognize who or what gave the name to these stool and side table from Marcel Wanders for Moroso: it was the Asian Shitake mushroom that is considered one of the effective healing mushroom in the traditional Chinese medicine. Approximately 2000 years before the mushroom was hugely valuable in China, so that it served as gift for kings and emperors. Also the contemporaneous giver mustn’t hide because of the name-giver.
Out of coloured or lacquered polyethylene, the stool and table is light- and water-proof, being perfectly adapted for the outdoor use. With its mushroom-like, unobtrusive form, Shitake fits in every ambience.
