Korbo’s handmade wire baskets’ history reaches back to the early 1920s Sweden. The baskets are timeless and beautiful tools that have been used by farmers and fishers as reliable transporting and storage method. They resist wind and storms and thereby age very slowly. Furthermore they don’t tire and are very difficult to damage.

The manufacturing of the wire baskets began in 1922 and remained unchanged since then. The hand-braided baskets are thereby produced with the exactly same technique. This unique construction consists of one only long piece of wire, which is completely hand-braided without helping devices or welding machines. This is also the reason why the baskets are that longevity – there isn’t a part of the basket in danger of falling out.
