These felt glides were especially developed fort he Plastic Chair DSW / DAW from Charles & Ray Eames. Once the practical felt glides are attached to the chair, they save the chair itself, the floor and they reduce the noise that can be caused when the chair is moved.

Each felt glide for the Plastic Chair DSW / DAW from Vitra consists of three separate parts that are easily attached under the chair. The proper felt core of the glides is glued to a holding that is then bolted to the chairs legs.

DSW (Dinung Side Shell Wood) is a variant of the Eames Plastic Side Chair with a wooden frame that was used by Charles & Ray Eames at the Wire Chair for the first time in the year 1951. The unusual material-mix of conic maple feet with diagonal round steel struts that nearly makes a strong static construction, offers an individual character to the chair.
