Benjamin Thut Description

Benjamin Thut was born in Zurich in Swiss in 1959. After an apprenticeship as machines technician, he decided to study design and interior architecture at the University of Design and Arts in Zurich.

Initially, after his studies he began working as freelance designer and interior architect. In the 80es also his “Lifto” lamp appeared for the manufacturer Belux, being awarded with the honorable culture prize for applied arts.

Benjamin Thut took the business of his father together with his brother Daniel in 1998, Thut Möbel. The tradition-company produces clear and reduced furniture in the tradition of functionalism.
