Göran Hongell Description

Göran Hongell (1902-1973) was born in Helsinki, Finland.

The artist and glass designer Göran Hongell was one of the pioneers of the Finnish glass tradition. Already in the 30's, he presented the first version of his product that, later, should become his greatest piece, the hand-blown glass collection Aarne.

In 1954 he won a gold medal with Aarne at the Triennale in Milan.
