Heikki Orvola Description

Professor Heikki Orvola was born in Helsinki, Finland, in 1943. He is one of the pioneers of Finnish design and he works with glass, ceramic, cast iron and drapery. Although he works in the art industry, he also uses a lot of different materials to make his pure art impressive.

During his career as designer, Heikki Orvola has been awarded several prizes, among others the Kaj-Franck-Prize in 1998 – maybe the most important Finnish design prize.
