Knut Völzke

Knut Völzke is a German designer and his studio is based in Frankfurt am Main. He studied product design at the University of Design (HfG) in Offenbach am Main. During his studies Völzke already prepared his future: His graduation work included the conception of a design label which he founded afterwards in 2002. Since then Knut works behind the name “Leise”.

In his design Studio, Knut Völzke designs, develops and realizes projects of 2 and 3 dimensional Corporate Design, exhibitions, furniture and products for all kinds of customers, such as the SZ magazine, Konstantin Slawinski or Villeroy & Boch.

But Völzke doesn’t only design furniture: The Leise furniture collection was presented on the Cologne furniture fair in 2005 for the first time and it was immediately successful and won design awards.

The characteristics of Knut Völzke’s designs are versatile utility, formal clearness and the use of exclusive materials.
