Moritz Wenz Description

The ideas for his products emerge in the daily and nightly life. As also by his Ice-Crusher Icewolf for Leopold:
Supposedly he mixed a few cocktails together with a friend in a late-summer evening. After Wenz’s friend squeezed his finger numerous times, while trying to crush ice, the discussion about the ice crusher begun inspired by the pain and motivated by the alcohol. They came to a final decision saying that the device wasn’t either functional or attractive regarding its appearance. On the following day, the critics assumed shape and Wenz developed a through thought in function, easy to handle Ice Crusher out of high quality materials: the Icewolf was born.

Wenz received the Form Design Prize besides the desired Red Dot in 2004 and was also nominated for the Design Prize of the FRG for his Ice Crusher.

Wenz doesn’t only understand the product design area, but he also creates robust, massive and archaically appealing jewelry and leather accessories.
