Pelikan Copenhagen Description

Pelikan Copenhagen was founded in 1966. The designers achieve in harmonizing modern with classic styles since then. The group emphasizes as an aim to make life easier with their products by enabling to enjoy the everyday and to shape it more clever for the users. “Do good things”, is how the Copenhagen say, and they also believe that a small detail is enough for it sometimes.

The company is led by three partners today, they all come from different Scandinavian regions: Mia Gammelgaard from Sweden, she also works as designer for Ikea as well as the Danish Niels Gammelgaard. Niels Gammelgaard hal already been honored several times with the Excellent Swedish Design Award along the years and also received the desired German Design Award “Der Rote Punkt” (the red dot). The third one in the pack is Lars Mathiesen, born in Greenland. This mixture out of man, woman, Danish, Swedish, means a base for durable success fro Pelikan Copenhagen.

More than 100 products (and there were nearby as much awards) emerged in the past 20 years, reaching from the fountain-pen up to furnishing elements of trains. All products are prepared to have long relationships to their users, said the aim of the designers.
