René Barba Description

René Barba was born in Cuba, grew up in Miami and lives in Paris since the beginning of the 90es.

Each one of these cities did not only influence Barba in his personal development, but also in his design philosophy.

His products are branded by strong lines, geometric shapes, simple access and clever proportions out of a modern point of view.

Barba’s works are not bent to materials or categories – He already worked with glass, porcelain, furniture and other fabrics.

René Barba for example designed the Stixx room-divider for Koziol and the Penta Chair for Umbra.
