Tveit & Tornøe Description

Tveit & Tornøe is the name of the design-duo from Bergen, which is famous since September of 2006. Since then both founders have already attracted a lot of attention, winning the “Young Talent Award” in Norway in the year 2007. Their main working field however, is furniture design.

Asking about their philosophy, Tveit & Tornøe answered that their products wouldn’t follow strict rules, since “each product has different approaches”. To reach high design quality one has to be always open for new things. And this openness characterized the works of the young Norway.

Tveit & Tornøe show up more playful than their predecessors of Scandinavian design as representatives of the „New Nordic“. However, the “classic Scandinavian” is clearly displayed in all creations of this new generation.
