V12 Design Description

V12 Design is an industrial design firm, founded at the end of 2004 by Velerio Cometti, based in Milan and with an associate studio in Sydney.

At V12 the approach towards product creation is decidedly innovative. The solid combination of design and engineering reinforces the creative process and no longer is the creative phase followed by the engineering phase, but one superimosed upon the other. It is a different mentality which imposes strength and power on the styling and bondless and open mindedness to the engineering.

From TV sets to personal computers, from lamps to coffee machines: the designers at V12 are lucky enough to be working together with some of the most prestigious Italian and international companies.

V12 Design is born with its own personal and well developed design style. The V12 style steers well clear of playfuness, light hearted gimmicks and random anthropomorphism: there will be no little hands and feet in their projects.

In V12 the core values of design run very deep with the focus fixed firmly on increasing the product value in each and every project, without any tricks but with rigorous elegance and refinement. The aim is to design objects capable of ageing beautifully, showing how great intuitions are not affected by trends. V12 Design carves out a product through proprtions, its functionality, the best technology, the latest materials: textures and sterie decorations are hardly design tools at V12.

V12 Design develops projects upon request from any stage, form product conception through to development and production and can also be called on to consult on any stage throughout this process. Aside from working on external projects they also invest in the development intemally which are then proposed to selected firms.
