Yaacov Kaufman Description

Yaacov Kaufman ws born September 10th 1945 in the old U.D.S.S.R. From 1945 to 1957 did he live in Poland.

In 1957 did he immigrate to Israel and lives today in Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem and Milan.

He graduated at the Bat-Yam Institute of Art in Sculpture. Since 1994 is he a professor for Industrial Design at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem.

Yaacov Kaufman own several patentes for moving armstructures of lamps, furniture and exhibition designs, ergonomic seating shells, design oriented technologies like e.g wooden tops and others. He works in cooperation with Italian and other European manufacturers in the areas product-, furniture- and lamp deisgn, like Lumina Italia, Tecno, Arflex, Porro, Luxo or serien.lighting, to name some of them.
