The Gommini come…

Sustainable, ecological and made in Germany are the products behind the Gommini label. Moreover they demand children’s fantasy by clear and beautiful shapes, and induce them to a free playing.

It should be something special. That is how Jette Loeper Dipl. Designer and Jochen Gaukel free architect designed a rocking horse for their daughter’s first birthday, the Ross. The ideas became more detailed and the brand gommini emerged.

The couple focused on sustainability and a children adapted selection of materials. That is how they discovered the wooden material Valchromat. This certified sustainable and formaldehyde-free panel material allows it not to also use MDF for children’s toys. Through the treatment with biologic wood oil, Valchromat gets a pleasant and very robust surface. Made and designed in Germany.

Also further products such as the cradle (a toy) and the einBrett (painting/arts craft base) emerged in the interplay and demands with children. So that the products were instantly tested to their game-adaptation, safety and lasting.

The name gommini came out of the Swiss Kanton Wallis. That is where there comes the “gommini chumunt” instead of the sandman when children go to sleep. It means the famous habitants of the Gomster valley. The Gommini lead their children into the world of dreams, into a world full of gnomes, elves and fairies and other wonderful creatures and histories about them. The children’s products from gommini do all this. They demand children’s fantasy and emboss their aesthetic consciousness without obligations. Or simply: beautiful toys for beautiful thoughts.
