Chintz

Chintz is bright coated cotton. Originally the concept described a waxed, thin, glossy cotton fabric in a canvas picture. Artificial resins are often used today to coat fabrics. The resins reach the same high-gloss effect and simultaneously ensure a high resistance.

Chintz is often used as decoration fabric and is also used to manufacture lamp shades.
