Retap was founded in the end of 2009 as Scandinavian company by four experienced and hard-working businessmen with the aim of substituting PET bottles and plastic cups by reusable drinking bottles.

More than 15 million tons of plastic waste are produced every year, the biggest part of it are plastic bottles. The recycling of it needs the same amount of earth oil as the energy consumption of one million cars, without including the water bottle’s transport.

Contrasting the result-less Green-going-debates, Retap offers a practical solution. The young company offers sustainable alternative products to plastic bottles with their drinking bottles.

Retap focuses on conscious, healthy and environment friendly water drinking, without renouncing design and style.

By the way: Retap is the acronym for “Refill – Tap water”, since the environment friendly bottles are filled with home-own tap water that has an exceptional quality there and what furthermore steals 2000 times less energy than natural bottle water from the supermarket. Furthermore, if one uses PET bottles more than once, toxic substances may enter the water.
