Schindlersalmerón

Schindlersalmerón is the design company from Zurich, Switzerland of the two designers and architects Christoph Schindler and Margarita Salmerón Espinosa. Under this name they produce their designs, some of them are well-known and excellent articles like Kleiderleiste.

Schindlersalmerón also conducts research and teaching. The designers seek to integrate the possibilities and conditions of building into teaching. The projects focus not only on contemporary parametrical planning and digital production procedures but they also integrate industrial mass production and traditional craftsmanship.

The partners of Schindlersalmerón took part in the organisation of workshops at various European universities, in which the participants attend the creation of a piece of work in intensive cooperation with a company,

The students don’t only learn to realise their designs economically but new ways of construction are also being created.
The mutual influence of design, manufacture and culture of construction are the focus of the company’s teaching.
