Panda figure made of walnut and maple wood
On the occasion of the arrival of two panda bears at Copenhagen Zoo, the design studio Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) was asked to design the enclosure for the animals. The result is a home for the two of them whose form is reminiscent of the Chinese Yin-Yang sign.
In addition to the enclosure, Bjarke Ingels designed a panda figure made of walnut and maple wood for ArchitectMade. The cute figure is made of drop shapes, which in combination create a harmonious overall appearance. The panda's arms are movable so that it can be brought into the desired position.
The panda is available in two different sizes, which can also be combined wonderfully with each other.
