Sustainable carpet made from PET bottles
The Lene carpet of the Dutch label Nuuck inspires with its special material composition. It is made of polyester and about 12 kilograms of recycled PET bottles. These bottles were fished from the sea or collected by waste processing companies. They are recycled into yarn and dyed together with the polyester yarns using the "dope dyed" process. This is an environmentally friendly and efficient dyeing process that saves large amounts of water. The Lene carpet is UV and water resistant, which means it can be used both indoors and outdoors. It is recommended to use a carpet pad indoors.
The Lene carpet is recyclable. Moreover, it can be used on both sides. Please wash with soap and water only.
