Pillowcase in exciting stripe design
The Kalasääski Pillowcase from Marimekko is a visual highlight on every sofa and every armchair. It is made of 100% unbleached cotton and has a hidden zipper on one of the sides.- The pillowcase can be combined with other products of the Kalasääski -series combinable or can be used as a decorative standalone for subtle accents.
For the production of the pillowcases, the fabric is used with its entire width. Therefore, there may be slight variations in the pattern, which, however, make each piece unique.
The Kalasääski -design takes the stripe design and executes the geometric aesthetic in a new way. The design showcases the art of freehand patterns of vertical and diagonal stripes and is named after the osprey (in Finnish Kalasääski ). The colorful finish as well as the arrangement of the lines are reminiscent of a bird in flight position. The design was created in 1962 by Maija Isola.
