The digital wristwatch was designed in 1989 and was the first digital watch designed by Flemming Bo Hansen. The idea for it emerged from Flemming Bo Hansen’s vision of a wristwatch without any unnecessary functions. The watch doesn’t display anything other than the time and for this reason has already earned itself the title of style icon.
Characteristic of the Watch II is its simple and clear lines, also Flemming Bo Hansen’s trademark and thus a characteristic of all his designer watches. Watch II is available in four finishes, two large and two small models. Two watches have an analogue display, two have a digital and, typical for Flemming Bo Hansen, there are no unnecessary buttons or functions on these watches either. The digital watches show the time and date, and the analogue clocks show the time - and only the time.
For Flemming Bo Hansen, the digital watch symbolises the modern person and the way modern people think. The keywords here are effectiveness and precision. Time can be read effectively and precisely on a digital watch. Flemming Bo Hansen believes that analogue watches, in contrast, symbolise feminine values such as roundness and softness.
Polished, allergy-tested stainless steel, hardened mineralised glass and plastic were used in the manufacturing of the Watch II designer watches. The Watch II is water resistant up to 30m.
