The architect Mario Trimarchi was inspired by the eponymous volcanic stones of his Sicilian hometown when he designed Ossidiana.
Researches of the combination of the sculpture and the design finally ended up in an object, which represents a new ergonomic approach: it perfectly suits our hands and it is easily opened and closed. It is a product, which is knowingly leaned on a prehistoric stone – which is one of the first tools humans used.
The designer Mario Trimarchi goes back to our roots (of coffee culture) with the espresso machine Ossidiana. The sculptural espresso maker made of high class aluminium is available in different sizes and it therewith enables the production of 1, 3 or 6 cups of espresso.
