Comeback of a cultural product}
With the reissue of the egg coddler by Wilhelm Wagenfeld the brand Jenaer Glas revives the sought-after design classic in Bauhaus style. As part of the Wagenfeld collection Jenaer Glas takes the cultural product out of the design museums and brings it back on the market. The handmade egg coddler is marked by its unique shape and it still inspires friends of classical design by its look and functionality.
The distinctive kitchen helper can be used for a range of things. Not only can it cook eggs, it’s also perfectly suitable for making pastry, soufflés, deserts and Amuse Gueule.
The egg coddler is available in three sizes:
Egg coddler no.1: hight 8.6 cm, diameter: 6.5 cm, €9.95
Egg coddler no.2: height 8.6 cm, diameter 8 cm, €12.95
Egg coddler L: height 10.3 cm, diameter 10.4 cm: €14.90
In order to show the diversity of the egg coddler, the TV chef Martin Baudrexel created sophisticated recipes. The owner of the restaurant Rubico in Munich has tailored his recipes perfectly to the Jenaer Glas products. Influences of his stations in Montreal in the renowned restaurant Toqué, as well as in Vancouver and Whistler have shaped the style of Martin Baudrexel. Still, he appreciates simple and healthy meals with a regional reference.
