You’ll know them from coffee machines, fairs or private parties: The small plastic cups with the rills at the sides that crack when you press them together and land in the bin after one use. Hardly any of these cups survives without a characteristic bulge.
This classic of serving drinks and its properties inspired the designer Rob Brandt to design the Crushed Cup. The cups are produced since 1975 in the design of crushed plastic cups and they show the genuine bulges.
With this design Rob Brandt brings the famous and, after many parties and hours at the office, also beloved object into people's homes. Unlike the plastic original, the Crushed Cups are stable and shouldn't to be thrown away after one use. The cups consist of ceramics and therefore they can be cleaned without problems.
