The cheese fondue Escale from Spring offers everything that you need for a comfortable fondue. The high quality cast iron caquelon is fulfilled with a stainless steel rechaud, and it it suitable for all oven sorts.
The fondue caquelon consists of robust cast iron. It is all round enamelled, matt on the outside and glossy on the inside and the base. The rechaud consists of high quality stainless steel 12/10 and it appears incl. paste burner.
The caquelon is ideally suitable for cheese fondues because of its thick and robust outer wall, but it also suits for other fondue-variants.
The caquelon can be heated on gas, gas ceramic, electric and induction ovens, as well as with burning paste and gas rechauds. To accelerate the preparing of the fondue, the cast iron caquelon can be preheated on the oven for a few minutes at a low temperature.
Before cleaning, the caquelon should always cool down. It should never be quenched with cold water because this can lead to hairlines in the enamel layer. The pot can be carefully rinsed with a little bit of dishwashing liquid afterwards. The enamelled layer shouldn’t get any strokes because rust can appear where the enamelled coating is peeling.
