Affordable, long lasting and timeless – the fondue set Classic Eco was tested in many restaurants that offer fish or meat fondues as a speciality. It is ideal for everyone who values the austere, robust-elegant Style of gastronomy in their household objects.
The fondue set Eco from the Swiss company Spring consists of a small pan and a rechaud with paste burner. Both pieces consist of high quality stainless steel 18/10. The pot possesses a black synthetic resin stick that lies pleasantly in the hands because it is warmth protecting. The pot has a capacity of 1.8l.
The Spring brothers were the first company to produce the now well known and classic Bourgignonne pan fondue 50 years ago. The fondue Bourgignonne owes its name the Burgundy region where the famous Charolais-beef comes from.
The legend behind the emerging of the well known fondue pans begins in the Balkan. There a Lausanne chef was invited to eat in the house of locals after the legend. The meal consisted of mutton pieces that were cooked in a pan filled with hot fat, the meal was fulfilled with different sauces and ingredients. At home in his kitchen the chef tried to make this tasty recipe and to refine it to serve it in his restaurant.
Searching a suitable pot, the cook found the Spring brothers that were popular for their innovative development of their company. The first special pan for the today well known fondue emerged at this cooperation.
