The Eva Solo fruit squeezer was created by the designers Claus Jensen and Henrik Holbæk from Tools Design. By pressing a half of a fruit gently against a star made of rustproof stainless steel, the juiced is being squeezed out of the fruit. Juice and pulp flows into the mouth-blown glass jug. A plastic funnel prevents the stones from falling into the freshly squeezed juice. Now the fresh drink can be served immediately with the aid of the glass jug; the tiresome decanting into another pot is not necessary anymore.
The fruit squeezer consists of a star, of two stainless steel plates, that are fixed at 90° to one another, and a black plastic funnel. The jug is made of high-quality mouth-blown glass and has a capacity of up to 0.6 litres of freshly squeezed fruit juice.
The Eva Solo fruit squeezer was awarded, among others, the Formland Award in 1999 and the IF Design Award in 2001.
