Self-watering Herb pot
The Herbie indoor garden by designer Mikael Ericsson is a practical herb pot with automatic lighting and watering, which makes possible a rich harvest of fruit, vegetables and herbs in your own kitchen. Up to six pots of herbs can be cared for the whole year in the illuminated plant pot.
Active Growing Technology without soil
The indoor garden combines a minimalist aesthetic with a high degree of functionality: The plants grow quickly and abundantly thanks to the sophisticated Active Growing Technology. The Active Growing Technology was inspired by greenhouses and is based on hydroponics, ensuring that no soil is required for cultivation.
The ground of the Herbie indoor garden is similar to a water tank that can be enriched with various nutrients (included in delivery), to encourage the plant growth. A water indicator shows the minimum and maximum level of water content, which should be refilled every 2 to 5 days, depending on the watering needs of the plant. An integrated pump automatically and regularly supplies the plants with moisture and the nutrients contained in the water.
Automatic Light and heat su
The Herbie pot has an integrated light source which ensures an optimal light and heat supply. The manufacturer recommends leaving the light on permanently for growing lettuce and herbs so that the plants are continuously supplied and grow up to 3 times faster than in conventional herb pots. The manufacturer recommends turning off the light for at least 6 hours for flowering plants and fruit plants. Simply turn off the light over night and switch it on again in the morning, that is the ideal way for plants to thrive.
The Herbie pot only consumes 24 watts for the light and 2.5 watts for the automatic pump so only consumes a mere 19 kilowatt hours a month.
The illuminated herb pot Herbie is available in different colours. Additional nutrient packs can be ordered as accessories on request.
