Self-watering & lit herb pot
The Herbie indoor garden by designer Mikael Ericsson is a practical herbal pot with automatic lighting and irrigation, which allows a rich harvest of fruits, vegetables and herbs in your own kitchen. Up to six pots of herbs can be installed in the illuminate plant pot.
Active Growing Technology without soil
The indoor garden combines a minimalist aesthetic with a high degree of functionality: The sophisticated Active Growing Technoligy is the main reason why the plants grow quickly and abundantly. The Aactive Growing Technology was inspired by greenhouses and is based on hydroponics, which ensures that no soil is required for the cultivation.
The ground of the Herbie indoor garden is similar to a water tank that can be enriched with various nutrients (included in the delivery), to encourage the growth of the plant. A water indicator specifies the mini - and maximum level of water content, which should be filled again every 2 to 5 days, depending on the water demand of the plant. An integrated pump supplies the plants with moisture and the nutrients contained in the water automatically and regularly.
Automatic light & heat supply
The integrated light source of the Herbie pot ensures an optimal light and heat supply. The manufacturer suggests to leave the light on permanently for the cultivation of lettuce and herbs. The plants are always supplied that way and grow up to 3 times faster than in common herb pots. The light should be turned off for at least 6 hours when the pot is used for blossoms and fruit plants. Just turn the light off over night and on again in the morning, for the plants to thrive ideally.
The Herbie pot only consumes 19 kilowatts hours in a month with a consumption of 24 Watts for the light supply and 2.5 watts for the automatic pump.
The illuminated herb pot Herbie is available in different colours. Additional nutrient packs can be ordered.
