Scholten & Baijings designed a service that mirrors tradition in modern times for Georg Jensen. The “Tea with Georg” sugar bowl with lid was inspired by Japanese tea culture.
The name of the Tea with Georg sugar bowl with lid is a tribute to the silver smith Georg Jensen, whose name is still a synonym for table culture today. Scholten & Baijings designed a collection of dishes for tea and coffee based on traditional Japanese tea ceremonies, adding some modern elements. That’s how the series of Georg Jensen offers a modern touch to traditional, ancient rituals.
The Tea with Georg sugar bowl with lid by Georg Jensen is made of high gloss polished stainless steel. The special detail is that it has a lid of blue acrylic.
Besides the sugar bowl with lid, the Tea with Georg collection also includes a teapot, a teapot warmer, an étagère, cups with saucers and a milk jug.
