„Michael Graves, the brilliant architects of the postmodernism, beginning of the 80s with his first steps into the product design, belongs to one of my many nice experiences as design manager. I think we can name Graves as one of the controversial architects of the last 20th century. His way was enthusiastic and disputed, he was embossed by big successes and popularity. But we also know that he was often criticised in the intellectual social circle of this branch", says Alberto Alessi.
But even with all this criticism, the products of Graves rejoice still with a big popularity. Besides the biler with the "bird" and the series "Tea & Coffee Piazza", the 9098 Pepper Grinders belong, with the matching salt cellar, to the known products, which Michael Graves designed for Alessi.
At the same time, the pepper mill is made of stainless steel with oversized wings of PA-plastic a signboard for the postmodern design experiments, with which Alessi got a famous name in the 80s in the design world.
