Marimekko created one of the most famous patterns of the world: Unikko. The legendary print is a mobile eye-catcher on the Pieni Unikko Tray, which is also able to transport all kinds of things.
Pieni Unikko si a smaller version of the famous Unikko pattern, which has been made by Maika Isola for Marimekko in 1964. Kristina Isola, the daughter of the Finnish design icon, translated the flowers pattern into a smaller scale for Pieni Unikko (Eng. “small poppy”). This makes it possible for the print to unfold its complete effect on the Pieni Unikko Tray with a size of 43 x 33cm.
Marimekko produces the Pieni Unikko Tray out of plywood. This makes the practical kitchen helper robust, easy to be cleaned and durable.
