Half decorative element, half toy, this wooden dolls initially emerged for the own usage of the designer Alexander Girard. After the originals of his heritage, the times happy and times grimly collection is re-edited as enrichment for every furnishing.

The Wooden Dolls were initially designed by Alexander Girard for his house in Santa Fe, they are self made. Inspiration for the small figures was found by the designer in his own extensive folk-art collection.

In cooperation with Charles and Ray Eames as well as George Nelson, Alecander Girard counts to the embossing figures of the American design of the post-war-period. The focus of his wude product range was the textile design, whereas the intense work with South American, Asian and East European folk-art was a huge inspiration source.

The Wooden Dolls consist of massive fir wood and they are hand coloured. The delivery occurs in a printed wooden boy, with the brochure.

The Wooden Dolls with the numbers 13 – 16 are also available.
