The Alba vase by Design House Stockholm is the boundary between art and everyday object. The unusual shape of the porcelain vase with soft curves vaguely reminds us of a human body, whose chest is accentuated by a leather belt with shiny buckle. A fancy vase with sculptural charms.
Vase with leather belt
The brown leather belt and its silver buckle represent a successful contrast to the simple white porcelain of the vase. “(...) I also use the belt as a symbol for gathering together and defining the shapeless and rapidly changing world that we live in at the moment." Explained Anna Kraitz about the belt motif, which characterizes many of her designs together with buttons and braids.
Flower vase for long-stemmed flowers
The Alba vase emphasizes flower bouquets of all kinds. But Alba also becomes a unique decoration object without flower arrangements, attracting attention skillfully because of the exceptional shape and the belt as a special detail. Particularly long-stemmed flowers are beautifully presented in the vase, which measures a height of 24 cm.
