A perfect mix of timeless and equally modern design emerged out of the creative cooperation of Holmegaard and the Danish artist and florist Claus Dalby: Old English, a collection of vases of clear glass that unifies the best of Danish glass work and English gardening tradition. The aim of this cooperation was to create a series of vases and flower bowls that would express the unmistakable style of Holmegaard, still emphasizing the flowers, letting them be the focus of attention.
The Old English vase is available in two sizes, suitable for bound and loose bouquets. The slim waist of the vase holds the flowers in their place and the bottom of the vase offers enough space for the flowers’ stems. The wide, rounded opening holds the flowers and bigger bouquets are also elegantly held in the form, without bending.
The Old English vase convinces with soft lines and curves and it emphasizes the elements of classic amphora lines. The bellied base of the vase also offers enough space for water, being completed by an elegant pedestal.Also in our blog:
