High-contrast Vases Series
The Dutch designer Lex Pott worked with different metals, including copper, stainless steel, brass and aluminium for the design of his vases. The vases become unique by the contrasts emerging that way: each of the vases has both an oxidized, matt part and a striking glossy, smooth ground part. This is how Lex Pott succeeded in representing the "true colours" of each metal in an extraordinary way. The contrast between the organic structure on the one hand and the noble surface on the other characterise the true colour vases.
Interaction of Colour, Material and Information
The colouring of metals requires a precise procedure. My new vases for &tradition show the results of my research in metals and their true colours; a direct relationship between colour, material and information.
The different vases made of different metals vary in size and can optimally be combined. But the True Colour vases also emphasise your flower arrangement extraordinarily when they are alone.Also in our blog:
