Funkis photographs are the result of a cooperation between by Lassen and the Norwegian photographer Kristine Norlander. The focus of the photographs are architectonic buildings by Mogens and Flemming Lassen. Functionalistic buildings - called “Funkis” in Swedish. The abbreviations FL and ML respectively reveal to the observer, precisely, who is the specific architectural originator of the photography.
The photographs by Norlander are detailed pictures - extreme close up shots - in which architectural elements blur into geometrical shapes. The image detail as well as the colour scheme in soft grey tones highlight the linear design of the architecture.
In the typical and well-known reduced manner, the Funkis photographs by Kristina Norlander are the perfect matching wall decoration for the furniture and home accessories from by Lassen.
