Alvar Aalto influenced the Finnish company Artek with his designs being one of the founders. The designs of Aalto are characterized by the symbiosis of functionality and natural materials, especially birch wood.
Alvar Aalto also used the popular birch wood for the production of the mirror collection 192. The designer was thereby one of the first ones who used the material for the industrial production of furniture. The mirrors of the 192 series follow the design principle of simplicity and curved shapes – usually found in Aalto’s creations.
The 192 mirror series includes two models: The edition 192A as rectangular model with a size of 50 x 120 cm as well as the mirror 192B with a square size of 50 x 50 cm, painted in white or untreated, made of birch wood.
Both mirrors perfectly harmonize with the wardrobe 190C and the tray and drawer 114B for a beautiful entrance of every house.
