Basket made of Wire with Handle
The bucket 20 Wire basket by Korbo has a handle with which it can be carried around like a bucket. It is excellent as a shopping cart or for any possible storage purpose: for potatoes, fruits and vegetables, recycling or handy bucket for the garden.
Handmade Wire Baskets from Sweden
Korbo’s handmade wire baskets from Sweden go back in time to the early 1920s. The baskets are timeless and beautiful tools, which were used by farmers and fishermen at that time for reliable transportation and storage. They are wind and weather proof and hard-wearing and can therefore be permanently used in the house as well as outside.
The baskets are wire-woven by hand and all baskets are made with the exact same technique. This unique construction consists of a single long wire which is hand-woven without using welding equipment. This is also the reason why the baskets are so durable - there are simply no parts of the basket that can fall apart. If the Bucket 20 wire basket is equipped with the planting bag inner cover, it is also suitable as a planter with a more interesting appearance, next to its standard storage purpose.
Made of Stainless Steel or Zinc-plated
The Korbo baskets are available in two variants of steel - zinc-plated (galvanised) steel or stainless steel. Both versions are rust-free.
Galvanising is a process to prevent corrosion in which a physical barrier of zinc is placed on the surface. For more than 150 years, galvanised steel has been used successfully and the wire gets a nice, matte patina over the years.
The stainless steel however contains nickel and molybdenum which create a completely stainless connection when combined with the steel. Unlike galvanised wire, stainless steel is not only protected against corrosion on the surface, but it’s completely rust-free. The baskets made of stainless steel stay shiny no matter which environments and weather conditions they are exposed to.
