Forget everything you know about drawers - Stack does it completely differently.
Usually a set or chest of drawers consists of an exterior frame, back panel and runners for each drawer. The height is limited to the size of the frame and a drawer can only be opened in one direction.
Shay Alkalay uses Stack to question the components of a drawer system and pushes the envelope when it comes to what a drawer system is and is capable of.
"I think a chest of drawers looks more appealing when the drawers are left half-open." says the designer Shay Alkalay.
Stack is individual, multi-coloured and can be stacked up to different heights and shapes. As the drawers themselves make up the stack, you can pile them as desired so that they open in both directions. This will often result in a random and asymmetrical appearance that is both fascinating and unusual to the eye.
Positioned against a wall or in the centre of a room, Stack creates a joyful and refreshing spectacle of colour and shape. Thanks to the elaborate design, Stack is simultaneously practical and functional as well as a beautiful piece of furniture, almost its own sculpture.
Stack is also available with 13 drawers, as well as in green, red and neutral.
