Canvas is an elegant upholstery fabric made of wool, which is available in shades inspired by women’s fashion.
The fabric designed by the well known designer Giulio Ridolfo is characterised by a vibrant and interesting look. "Canvas highlights the beauty of the yarn and conveys a sense of high quality craftsmanship," says the designer.
For Canvas, Giulio Ridolfo took his inspiration from the vibrant and refined range of colours in the world of women's fashion. From a distance, it has a quiet, uni-coloured appearance; on closer inspection, however, one discovers shimmering shades, fine contrasts and elegant structures. Many of the color settings for canvas complement the range of Remix, another fabric designed by Giulio Ridolfo for Kvadrat.
Kvadrat's Canvas consists of 90% wool and 10% nylon, which makes the fabric extremely comfortable. Other advantages of the material are the ability to absorb moisture as well as its sustainability for the natural material comes from a renewable resource.
The fabric is very robust despite the main proportion of wool: Canvas has 100,000 Martindale. No bleach or similar harmful substances are used in the production, which is confirmed by the EU Eco Flower label. Canvas allows to be cleaned with a dry cloth or steam.
For you to be able to choose the right colour right away, Kvadrat offers Canvas as a sample to try at home.
