Divina means: Nothing less than colour! Since the Kvadrat fabric has been presented for the first time in 1984, the colours selection has been enlarged continuously in accordance with the designer Finn Sködt.
The textile became a classic in Kvadrat’s collection. Divina is firstly coarsely woven, before the textile enters a mechanic process where it is coloured at high temperatures. This is how the Divina fabric becomes soft, the woven direction is melted and it gets uniform. The material shrinks by 25.30% during this procedure: a textile with strong colours and very fine texture emerges as a result, similar to uniforms or cotton blankets.
Kvadrat’s Divina consists of 100% pure new wool; this makes the fabric extremely comfortable. Further advantages of the material are the capacity of absorbing humidity as well as its sustainability, since the material consists of renewable resources.
Despite of the production out of wool, the fabric is robust: Divina reaches 45,000 Martindale. The Greenguard Environment Institute certificate proves that the air quality inside of rooms isn’t impaired. Divina can be cleaned with a dry tissue, steam or perchlorate and ironed by medium temperature.
