More than comfortable: The designer Jonas Wagell gave playful, happy appearances to his Swell armchair he made for Normann Copenhagen. Despite of it, the appeal remains Nordic and clear.
There are no unnecessary details at the Normann Copenhagen Swell, since Wagell concentrated on the essence when he designed it. The precise shapes are emphasized by the soft curves of the armchair – that’s how Swell gets its inviting character and the exceptional seat comfort.
Behind the soft forms of the Normann Copenhagen Swell armchair there are generously upholstered laterals and an also generous backrest – a clear reference to the name, which alludes to growing bread dough. The seams on the backside and seat of the couch divide the cushions and make the opulent appearance perfect.
The designer Jonas Wagel explains: ”I was always fascinated by minimalism. However, I find it important to add a warm component and some personal details to the objects. My starting line was characterized by aesthetic and practical qualities, which are important to me when I buy a sofa. That’s the reason why Swell is coined with my personal taste.”
The Swell armchair by Normann Copenhagen is also available in further colours and as Swell sofa.
