Fascinating contrast made from wood and metal
Maritime objects fascinate through their contrastive surfaces: Rough wood that besides of getting older also becomes more beautiful and unique and additionally the simple efficiency of metallic structures - this special combination inspired the designers Kasper Rønn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen from Norm Architects when they developed their Raft-series.
Barstool in puristic design
The Raft Stool NA4 Barstool is also part of this special collection. In its Scandinavian style, the barstool performs a unique seating, which not only distinguishes itself through the puristic design, but also through a subdued used-look. The surface of the chair legs has been sandblasted in order to emphasize the extraordinary structure of the wood and therefore contrasts with the metal plates in a very special way.
Bar stool or side table
Thanks to the arrangement of the chair's legs and the metal bracings there are two different possible seating positions; by adjusting either one chair leg or two chair legs into the forward position.
As the wooden seat squab of the Raft Stool NA4 barstool is totally flat, the stool can be perfectly used as a small side table alternatively.
