Wogg 35 is minimalist design in perfection. The bench demonstrates the power of the Wogg design team combined with the aluminium composite. Wogg 35 consists of only one material: a single Alucobond panel. Thanks to a special welding technique developed by Wogg, it’s possible to shape the material into its characteristic U shape.
The material and finish guarantee the exceptional stability of the Wogg 35 bench. It’s the ideal complement to the Wogg 35 stool. And the nifty part: the stool can be slid into the bench to save space. Discreet handles on the interior side of the stool make it easier to pull it out effortlessly.
The process that brings the Alucobond panel for the Wogg 35 bench into the correct shape was filed as a patent by Wogg in 2004. The Swiss company has worked with the material Alucobond since 2000 already. In collaboration with Christian Erpenbeck, the idea of manufacturing a tunnel out of the material in the shape of a U turned over came about between 2003 and 2007. The result was Wogg 35.
The advantages of the Alucobond used (a 6 millimetre-thin connecting plate made of two 0.5 millimetre aluminium cover layers and a plastic core of polyethylene) are: visual and physical weightlessness as well as a hard-wearing and easy to clean surface. Furthermore, the Wogg 35 bench is also suitable for outdoor use thanks to being corrosion-free.
