Traditional Bavarian Chair
The Wirtshaus (German for ‘pub’ or ‘inn’, mostly in South Germany) chair designed by Professor Fritz Frenkler after the original model from the 19th century used to be used at the Oktoberfest in Munich due to its robustness. Now the chair is deployed by established restaurants such as the SLYRS whiskey distillery at the Schliersee, Bavaria or the "MEISTERSTÜCK" in Berlin.
Made from solid oak and treated with natural linseed oil, the Wirtshaus Chair by Auerberg appears in rustic look and stands out with its traditional style. The seemingly simple form is finished with small details, such as the slightly offset rear legs and rounded edges, and thus enhances any interior. Especially in traditionally furnished apartments, the chair makes a good figure, but does also set warm accents in modern interiors.
The Wirtshaus Chair by Auerberg is available in various types of wood. In addition to the chair, there is also a Wirtshaus stool.
