Chair Classics
The Plastic Armchairs, designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1950, were first presented in the "Low Cost Furniture Design" competition of the Museum of Modern Arts in New York. The organically shaped plastic seat shell was later combined with various bases and produced millions of times. In their current version made of polypropylene, the armchairs offer even greater seating comfort.
Classic shape - many variants
The Eames Plastic Armchair DAR (Dining Height Armchair Rod Base) is offered by Vitra in many different variations, colours and with different bases. So the chair can be put together according to your own ideas.
Since 2015, the underframe has been available with a height of 43 cm, adapted to the current average size. Due to the small difference in height, however, "old" and "new" variants of the chair can be mixed without hesitation, so that existing seating groups can also be easily extended.
multifunctional chair
With the restrained shape of the polypropylene seat shell and the filigree base, the Plastic Side and Armchairs are absolute living classics. But the classic is not only omnipresent in the living area, but also in universities, waiting areas, cafés and other facilities.
Please note: The Eames Plastic Armchair DAR comes standard with dark felt glides. If you wish to use plastic glides, you can set this via the selection field or store it in the comment field.
