Timeless classic chair
The Vitra Eames Plastic Chairs, by now, belong to the absolute design classics in the living area. In 1950, the Eames Chair was the first serially produced plastic chair in the history of furniture. Thus, the Chair is more than just a piece of furniture - but a piece of cultural history. The multifunctional chair with different seat shells and bases is widely deployed. A genuine all-rounder in the residential and contract sector.
Classic form - new seat height
The Eames plastic armchair DAX (dining height armchair X-base) is offered by Vitra, in many different varieties, colours and with different bases. Like that, the Chair can be put together according to your own ideas. Since 2015, the base has been available with a new height of 43 cm. This is how Vitra reacts on the averagely increasing body size since the first production in 1950. With the adapted height, the Plastic side Chair by Charles and Ray Eames provides special seating comfort.
Due to the low altitude "old" and "new" versions of the Chair can however be mixed safely so that already existing seating with the new chairs can be added.
Multifunctional chair
With the restrained form of polypropylene seat and the delicate support structure, the Plastic Side and armchairs are absolute living area classics. But not only in the living area also in waiting areas, cafés, universities and other institutions, the classic is omnipresent.
Please note: by standard, the Eames Plastic Armchair DAX is delivered with dark felt glides. Should you want to order plastic glides, you can set this using the selection box or by entering a message in the comments box.
