Eames Plastic Side Chair, which has been designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1950, is a contemporary version of the legendary Fibreglass Chair. It was created in connection with Zenith Plastics for the "Low Cost Furniture Design" competition of the Museum of Modern Art's and was the first industrial made chair made of plastic.
The organic formed seat is linked together with the metal base with integrated »Shock Mounts«, which gives you a relaxing, and very comfortable sitting feeling. Whether in privacy, restaurants, waiting rooms, offices, conference rooms, or large halls, the Eames Plastic Chair fits in all kinds of surroundings.
The Eames Plastic Side Chair DSR (Dining Height Side Chair Rod Base) is also available in other colour variations, cushions and/ or coated base editions for outdoors. Furthermore an edition with a coated frame for outdoors can be ordered.
